Post by: xplain on November 24, 2011, 05:06:08 am
Is any one in here using this keyboard to control Theater View

Does the window button, in the lower right corner of the keyboard, launch Theater View ??

The Logitech keyboards provide software that allows you to customize the function of these special buttons.  Minimally, you should be able to program it to place MC into theater view.  Do you need help w/any of this?

I'm using this, but I've not tested the Windows button much. I think I did at a time, and it did not work. But I've never installed any software for this remote, so that might be the reason. I like the remote. It's handy. It does NOT have "\" as I've seen though, and that have made some problems when I've had to manually write UNC paths.  Only other minus have to be that you have to open and close the so much. It's a BIT annoying. Other than that, I think it's a good remote mouse control and keyboard.

We use it in our theater setup. The ability to switch between mouse style and keyboard style navigation works really well. Also it has a back light which works good enough in the dark. I think it's perfect in our setup.

I also have not tried custom keys. The htpc it's connected boots into and never leaves jrmc.

I bought it for the google TV and for the price i returned it.
The main reason was on the Google TV it was not easy to reprogram.
And because of it's size it made you use two hands more than i liked.

I've had three Logitech remotes and they are overpriced and usually stop working well after a year to two.
So i didn't feel like taking a risk with this one.
The arrow switch to touch pad was cool. But i worried for how long

I have been working on moving all media to the PC. And i got this remote to use with it.

The touch pad is bit small. But It's simple and does just what i needed.
