Title: Newbie Sorting question

Hi, first time poster.

I'm trying to create a new library view in the audio section that has the following characteristics:
Viewed as Categories
Filtered by flac files
Sorted as albums by release year and for albums released the same year, by date imported.

I got the first two. As for the sorting, when I add multiple categories, it creates groups (for instance of albums by year and then within the year sorted by date imported). I do not want to have to click through multiple categories. And adding the Year-Album category allows sorting by artist name within a year (Ascending/descending) or by date imported, but not by release year (for Date imported).

I'm assuming that I can use an expression to create this sort, but haven't been able to come up with the right one.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi duskdrums,

Use Custom sorting in the the tab's Sort By pull down.  See attached.
