Title: MC doesn't read WTV file tags?

Just imported a bunch of WTV files (Windows Media Center recorded TV files), and it doesn't appear that MC currently can read the tags/metadata for this type of file.  Am I missing something, or is that truly the case?

sadly, that is my experience also.  I'm hopeful that the recent focus on video metadata will 'fix' this 'problem' soon.

I suspect MC isn't too concerned with data from a competing product, but since so many users still use WMC at least to record (I watch all my wtv files in MC, but the wife prefers WMC still), it would be a welcome addition to current functionality.

On a side note, MC is also not reading TIF file tags tagged by Windows. I started a thread on this issue last month:
