Title: JRiver Crashed
Post by: jesseinsf on December 10, 2011, 12:32:35 am
I was just playing a .flac song that was not in the library. But I added it to the library while it was still playing from the original location. So (not thinking to stop playback) I went to delete the original location. I got an error saying that a file was in use. When I went to stop the song I stopped and minimized JRiver. That is when I got a blue screen. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have 12 GB of RAM, 2.8.Ghz Intel CPU (1366). Geforce GTS450 Video card. Xonar Essence STX PCIe Audiophile sound card. I am not sure if this is a bug with JRiver or my Video Driver? I'm using JRiver Media Center 17 version 17.0.50

Focus on updating the drivers first.  Blue screens are typically hardware, driver, or MS Windows kernel issues.

What does Windows 7 'Solutioncenter' says ? Windows tries to analyze bsod's and recommend solutions. Maybe you can get some clues in there.

I've seen reports of bugs in the latest Nvidia beta driver.
