Title: MC as DLNA Media Server with Philips PFL8605H TVs
Post by: cfrab on December 12, 2011, 03:55:00 pm
Hi all
I'm trying to access the media library from Philips 32PFL8605H Tv using MC as a DLNA media server.
I've a problem accessing video files : if video file type is MP4 the streaming is OK, but if I try to access to AVI (Divx) or FLV files I cannot see anything.
The error reported is a generic playback error.
Instead, when I use Windows Media Player as media server on the same TV, I can see AVI, FLV....

note: MC is set as "Generic DLNA" (default optiion)

any tips? which option do I have to set?

many thanks

You should carefully inspect the Philips users guide to se what formats are supported.

I have a Philips TV as well, and I had a lot of hopes until I realized that only DLNA version 1.0 was supported and only mpeg2 video streams.
Now I am using a PC directly connected by hdmi to show videos and thanks to Red October and MadVR I enjoy the highest quality pictures.
