Title: Unable to rip CD's
Post by: Shelly on December 12, 2011, 09:30:40 pm
I'm unable to use MC 17 to rip CDs.  Can't state with which build this started, as I've not recently used MC to rip CDs.  Any attempt causes MC to freeze and forces me to do a cold boot.  Please advise!

Thanks,
Shelly

Does this happen when trying to rip to any file type or just a certain one (ie, mp3 or flac, etc)?

Yes it does.  I just tried ripping to Flac and the queue shows the first track as ripping but there is no movement in the progress bar.  As soon as I try to close out of MC I'll have to do a cold boot again.

Thanks for responding.

Yes, I do have Nero installed, but, then I always have had it installed.   I'll uninstall it and get back to you.  Thanks.

Just bought a new CD and forgot that I was unable to rip using MC until I wasn't able to rip the CD.  John, could you determine anything from the log file that I sent.  I've got a brand new system build and am able to use other apps for ripping.  Also my older Thinkpad rips just fine.  Would appreciate any assistance with this problem.  Thanks!
