Hi there,
I have put all my music on one central server, and have MJ8 connect to the server on starup...
Unfortunately, while running off a server, we cannot make playlists, MJ8 will not save them either locally or on the server..is there any way to get it to do this?
Obviously, I could just import from the server and keep the database locally, but I much prefer to run in server mode, so when I move things around or change music I don't have to update locally...
It would be great if the playlists could be stored either on the server or locally...
Other than that MJ8 is perfect...I have my staff (all computer illiterates) using it with no problems at all.

Stu,
Did you try Media Server? It uses MJ library so you can have playlists. Give it a try and let us know how that goes for you. Thanks
Ray.

Thats the problem...I am using Media Server...but the only playlists that show up are those on the server machine..so a user at a remote machine cannot create their own playlists.

what would be nice is if you had many servers you had access to you could create a play list that included files from many servers.
if the server was down skip file in the play list
if the server was busy (over max connections) skip file in the play list.
i have not tested this latley but you could not do it before

If the server is unavailable, MJ should skip. Not sure about what happens for over max connections.
