Title: Media Center 17 allows sleep in display mode
Post by: murdockk on December 29, 2011, 04:43:21 pm
I recently upgraded to MC17 beta and notice it does not prevent the computer from sleeping when playing a video. I usually watch in display mode, but it makes no difference. Media Center does not prevent sleep. Previous versions of MC work fine. This happens if I play a video from the library, or open from Windows. Using Win 7. Any advice?

More info...the sleep issue only happens with Red October (standard and HQ). If I switch to Windows merit system, the computer does not go to sleep when playing a video.

I have the same problem. Also in the Theather View during audio playback, the monitor goes into standby mode. Win7 x64

I'm having weird problems too.  My display isn't sleeping when I'm playing video, but as soon as I hit stop (or pause sometimes) my display will sometimes go to sleep.

It seems to have started with the change that made it so the display couldn't sleep while Audio was playing.  Now, it seems to be sleeping when playback is stopped immediately or something.
