Title: Edit ratings when MC is minimized

After scouring the MC forums for awhile, I see that I'm far from alone in this request. The inability to modify a song's rating as it is being played is EXTREMELY important to me, and a show stopper. After spending hours on the Internet and even looking at the various MC skins (which are functionally all identical, with the same layout - just different color schemes), I can't even find a "kludge" that will work.

MediaMonkey doesn't have a gadget or a traybar utility that allows me to change a song's rating "on the fly" either, but I can rearrange the MediaMonkey interface in such a way that the navigation controls / playlist / rating toolbar are located on the left side of the window - I then resize the MediaMonkey window and move it to my Windows sidebar area on the right side of my display - I can then move about in my playlist and modify song ratings whenever needed - kind of a kludge, but works perfectly.

I can't do this at ALL with MC... I can display navigation controls when the mouse hovers over the MC icon when MC is minimized to the taskbar, but nothing else.. the popup doesn't have any means of editing tags.

Is this feature being considered for M17?

Is there a gadget ANYWHERE that does anything resembling this?

Keyboard shortcuts aren't going to work if MC is minimized or doesn't have focus. I usually have my music player minimized or tucked away in the Windows Sidebar as I'm editing documents or goofing around on the computer.. those applications would have focus, not MC, therefore rendering shortcuts to modify a rating ineffective.
