New to Media Center and it won't play back. Says I need to change settings using DSP. Opening the DSP creates a small but useless new window. Please help.
-
Try Player/DSP Studio. Does that work?
Welcome to the forum.

Nope, doesn't work. Opens a tiny window that can't be accessed.

I haven't heard this one before.
You could try resetting the stored Window Placement of DSP Studio.
Run regedit.exe (Start > Run in Windows)
Then, delete this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Center 16\Properties\Window Placement - DSP Studio
Let us know if it works after that.

Matt,
Thank you for the tip. Deleted the registry line as advised, but I get the same result when I try to launch DSP Studio.

What's the resolution of your screen? Anything unusual about your machine?
-
Do you have some skinning or security software installed that might be causing troubles? We've never heard this before.
You could also try Media Center 17 to see if you have any better luck.
Thanks.

Installed Media Center 17 and DSP Studio opened right away. Thank you for the help.
