Title: WASAPI vs ASIO in USB mode vs WASAPI Event/Optical
Post by: SteveR on January 03, 2012, 07:36:44 am
Cambridge Audio state that ASIO is superior to WASAPI using the USB connection, which surpised me. Is is more *accurate* than WASAPI Event? I know an optical connection is more jitter prone than using the USM method, and in my stem sounds a bit softer, a bit more gentle. Not sure which one is *correct* but gives me something to tinker with.

If your hardware has a native ASIO driver, I would recommend using it.
