Post by: Mastiff on May 15, 2002, 11:24:34 pm
The last builds have refused to shut down when I want to restart WinXP. Has anybody had that problem?

well check and see if multible instances of MJ are running.

the other day when changing skins i had 3 instances of mj running in the task manager after i killed the one i could see.

at least i think it was from changing skins, and mj reloading

And if your using AV then it's a known issue.

No, there's only one instance. And what is AV?

It's Album View.

Dunno if this is what you're describing, but I have a similar issue.  With MJ playing, if I select to shutdown the computer in WinXP, nothing happens.  MJ keeps playing and windows doesn't do a thing.  If I shut down MJ and then again select to shut down the computer, it shuts down just fine.  Admittedly, not the most horrendous bug in the world; just thought I'd second your post.

Also, not using album view, and I have not checked yet on multiple instances; tend to doubt it though.

MJ wasn't allowing the screen saver / monitor-off functionality to restart once it left full screen mode.

Hopefully fixing this will alleviate the shut down problems.

Let us know next build.

Thanks.
