Title: "Show/Hide Left sidebar" button for the toolbar (Feature request)

I use the toolbar buttons as shortcuts to the functions I use the most, which is why I'd like that. It would be really nice! ;D

Also, the tiny arrows that you have to click now to show/hide the thing can be fustrating, especially when you use a touchpad.

My toolbar use is definitely on the rise. Toggle Cover View would also be a nice.

It would also be nice to set up custom buttons, like View schemes or Locate options.

For view schemes I put the Navigation bar on the toolbar and then organise my favourite views there.  Ok, so it's TWO clicks to find the views, but still a very quick way to find favourites...
