Hi there,
The Logitech z-5500 amp has 5.1 analog inputs, and (apparently) a fixed 150hz crossover. I'm keen to have my stereo music mixed out to 5.1 through this amp, how should I setup JRSS and bass management optimally?
Everything below 150Hz from 5 channels will be sent to the sub by the Logitech amp I guess. I further guess that with default 5.1 settings JRSS will create a subwoofer audio stream below 60Hz. Does this duplicate/increase bass in the output? I would guess so, assuming some or all of the original sub-60Hz audio is being left in the 5 channels by JRSS...
How does the JRSS bass lowpass work with the other channels? Does audio below the lowpass appear in the 5 channels as well? Is this a good thing? :-)
Should I try a 150hz or 120Hz lowpass in JRSS?
Should I remove bass below 120Hz from the 5 normal channels in bass management?
Thanks!
Dale
