I'm seeing 4 images on my server with the name ~!~MCTEMP~!~.jpg

Anyone else?

They're temp files.  Delete them.

You can control the folder we use for temp files in Options > File Location.

Ok. The files weren't located in the folder specified in options but in parallel to the originals. I've deleted them now.
