Title: Playlist and Play Doctor - what determines first file played?
Post by: nonsub on January 18, 2012, 09:06:59 pm
Hi there. With shuffle OFFwhat determines the order that files in a playlist or Play Doctor Smart List are played in? It's seeming random to me.

Thanks!

Play Doctor is designed to create a mix.  So by definition the order is shuffled.

Playing from a library view will use the order the tracks appear in the view, unless shuffle mode is on.

it must be more defined than that since I get the same exact list when shuffling.

Hmmm but the same thing happens with a standard (non Doctor) playlist too?

This seems to be fixed in the current build. Tracks now play in the correct sequence indicated order in both playlists and playdoctor (must be in Playing Now for there to be a sequence at all of course.)
