Title: Extender Development - Status or plans
Post by: terrytad on January 19, 2012, 04:42:26 pm
What is the current plan for producing a client extender product so a PC doesn't have to be attached to a TV?

Can you give me an idea of the price range you would expect?  And functionality?

I don't mean to avoid your question, but producing a high quality product would require a major effort on out part.  I'd ike to believe that it could be done in a way that meets expectations.

The functionality would be like SageTv's extender which is a Linux box that can run the MC app. using a remote. I would think that a web app would be run. It looks like what I have read, this is the one piece missing in the DNLA process.

A DLNA client where the content is viewed or listened to in the Smart Tv's but has all the power of JRiver's functionality which far surpasses the Smart Tv technology.

Price $150-$200.
