Title: Upgrade from Media Jukebox 12
Post by: sbauer58 on January 19, 2012, 07:03:27 pm
:)I am new here as you can see from my version and apologize if this is the wrong place to post.  I am interested in upgrading to the latest and have questions about my current playlists on MJ 12.  I don't want to lose these and am wondering if someone could tell me what is involved.  Can I download (how much, upgrade or new customer?) the latest and have them transferred automatically?  Any help will be appreciated.  Steve :)

You should be able to make a library backup in MJ 12 and restore it in MC 17.  This will preserve all your metadata and playlists.

Thanks for thinking of upgrading.

Thanks for the speedy reply.....now that is service!!  What upgrade price do I pay?  Is the "library backup" a command already contained inside MC 12?

Library backup should be in the File > Library menu.

I see you bought the MP3 encoder for MJ on 09/23/2011 for $10.  I don't think that makes you eligible for an upgrade license of Media Center 17.

However, I emailed you a coupon you can use to make up the difference.
