Title: Sticky topics for helpful threads
Post by: drmimosa on January 20, 2012, 03:18:17 pm
Marko's guide to building views from scratch in MC 17 is fantastic: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=68960.0

However, due to the volume of posts here it was hard to find. Would the JRiver developers consider posting reference information like this as sticky threads at the top? Alternatively, perhaps they could be moved to a separate "Guides and How-to's" board, separate from support and troubleshooting?

Thanks very much for considering this request.

(Edit: Many past notable threads are compiled here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=59513.0 . Sticky threads could still be useful for finding reference information quickly)

In the future, you can save time by just searching for anything Marko or Alex B posts and reading just those posts and ignoring everyone else.  ;) ;D

Ha ha ha.  No, seriously... I often think about this myself.  There is a LOT of great tips and tutorials in these forums, but stuff does get buried and sometimes it is very difficult to find things.  In theory, that's what the Wiki is for, but lots of time stuff gets posted here.

Some way to "preserve" these kinds of threads, and make them much easier to find, would be great.
