Webgizmo on MC 17 plays one song of an album or playlist and then stops when I use it on mobile safari on my iphone 4s or ipad 1. Is there something I'm supposed to set or do to make it play more than one song? I've searched on the forums and on the web and while the question seems to come up a fair amount I have not yet found it with an answer.

When I try it on my iTouch and browse to an album and "play all" it spins off quicktime with a playlist and plays it all. What is yours doing? Does it spin off quicktime?
-
yes, it spins off quicktime but it only plays one song.

Weird, I wonder if it's an IOS version problem. I suppose you're on 5?
-
yes, the I phone for example is 5.0.1.

I have the same issue. Webgizmo and webplay both play one song, despite selecting "play all", and stops. iOS 5

Ok people, please give this a try. Exit MC then:
As Administrator, edit the following file (carefully) Program Files->JRiver->Media Center17->Data->Library Server->Gizmo->Default->play_qt.html in notepad (or notepad++ if you have it).
Underneath the end loop comment change the following 2 lines to:
'controller', 'false',
'autoplay', 'true'
Restart MC and try it again on your ios 5 device.
This doesn't do anything different on my ios 3 device (and I don't have an ios 5 device to test on) however testing in Safari in OSX it makes the files play continuously. Report back please..

No luck. Quick time still just opens, plays one song, then closes.

This is a pain. It seems to be an IOS 5 bug. Here is the pertinent info from the Apple developer site:
http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/QuickTime/Conceptual/QTScripting_HTML/QTScripting_HTML_Document/ScriptingHTML.html
blah, blah...
The script is maintained and updated by Apple engineers, so your HTML may not need to be modified when browser updates require changes.
Download the JavaScript file, AC_QuickTime.js, from http://developer.apple.com/internet/licensejs.html. Include it in your webpage by inserting the following line of code into your HTML head:
blah, blah...
The link to the .js is bad but we are using the latest version of AC_QuickTime.js found elsewhere on the developer site.
It appears we are generating the proper html and it does work in IOS 3.1.3.

Apple is such pain, I thought I must be doing something wrong until I found this thread and had such hopes to use WebGizmo with my iPhone 3GS instead of PlugPlayer since I canceled my ATT phone service.
I got fed up and just bought the Philips 16GB Android Media Player for $99.99 on Woot. Gizmo on my Android phone is so nice but wanted to have something I could leave connected to my Amp for playing music that didn't involve needing a monitor or relying on PC running Windows.

I believe this was recently fixed. You could try the build from the top of the MC17 board.

I just checked again and it is not working for me on my iPad 1 or my 3GS. Playing "This Location" opens a miniture QuickTime that I have to maximizew to get transport control. At the end of the song it Minimizes and stops. If I select next track does the same thing.
I am using the latest MC17 from today 117. I am on iOS 5.1.

A coming build will switch from QuickTime to HTML5.
Check back next week.
