Title: 17.0.74 (latest) fails on Froyo
Post by: bob on January 25, 2012, 06:09:53 pm
When accessing the key from the server, Gizmo crashes. 17.0.48 is fine.
Doesn't work on Donut either, same failure.

Working here on Hazelnut Tort.
Is that 5.0?

I saw in wikipedia, before they were doing desserts, they used robot names. Bender was the second IIRC... Copyrighted of course...

Oh, BTW, the same Wikipedia webpage http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_%28operating_system%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_%28operating_system%29) points out that as of January of this year, 40% of android users are on Froyo or below. Only .6% are on ICS.

That may be old info.  Here's the distribution of Gizmo users:

The latest Gizmo should be like 17.0.7x.

It's here (http://jriver.com/install_gizmo.html) and in the market.

17.0.74, I think.

17.0.74, I think.
When one connects to the app store with different versions of android you see different things in regards to the version number.
When I connect with Froyo I see only version 53.
When I connect with Donut, I see only 17.0.74.

Strangely enough, that's reflected in the version numbers shown in manage application on the phone as well.

I messed up on the title here. It should be the internal versions numbers, i.e. 48,50,53.

Anyway, it doesn't work with internal version number 50 or newer.

Android fragmentation at work ;)
