I'm wondering what the fastest Blu-ray copying drive is.
I have the original LG HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo drive. I get between 10MB/second to 20MB/second during a copy (which I think is roughly 2x to 4x).
I've read good things about the Asus BC-12B1ST.
Any advice?
Thanks.

These combo drives are now as rare as hens teath and get good $ on secound hand market!

I took one for the team and picked up an Asus BC-12B1ST.
I ripped the same BD disc with the old LG HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo drive and the new Asus drive. This is how it performed:
LG HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo: 45:05
Asus BC-12B1ST: 36:25
New drive is about 20% faster.
So not super exciting for a drive 4 years newer.
At least I'll be able to trade the old one for some hens teeth, which I assume is how they pay for everything in Australia.

FYI - Here is some specs of Speeds and Transfer Rates for BD - http://www.hughsnews.ca/faqs/authoritative-blu-ray-disc-bd-faq/8-recording-and-reading-speed

Here is my comparison: On the same 43.7GB BD-DL pressed disk:
- Old LG GGW-H20L (patched FW) : 41 Minutes, Observed Data Rate went from 14 --> 32 --> 17 MB/s (Calculated Average was 25MBs)
- New Pio BDR-207EBK (quiet mode OFF): 30 Minutes, 41 Observed Data Rate went from 10 --> 22 --> 13 MB/s (Calculated Average was 18MBs)
27% Faster.
