This has been a problem since a few versions ago. The second time I launch it, it works fine. Is anyone else having this issue?
-
Make sure you get the latest from the Market. Gizmo was updated a few days ago.
-
Unfortunately, I have the latest version and had the same issue twice today.
-
Does it crash when returning to a running Gizmo, or on a fresh startup?
Can you figure out any rhyme-or-reason to the crashes?
-
I have no idea why. It seems to happen when it's a fresh start. When returning I don't remember it happening. It's weird because it works fine the second time I launch it fresh right after the force close.

I just tried it on my /xoom and it happened again.

With the latest version from the market, I get this all the time when returning to a running Gizmo. It has been like that for the last three builds.
I run Gizmo on an HTC Sensation XE. I don't do any of that "rooting", "gold card", "custom rom" stuff, it's as it was from the store, with one OTA update that came as soon as I turned it on the first time.
When I say "a running Gizmo" what I mean is, a running idle Gizmo. For example, I get to work, press stop, then go directly to the phone's Home screen using the "Home" button. Eight hours or so later, I go back to Gizmo, and every time, without fail, I have to force close it, then launch it again. After that, all is fine and it won't break again until I return to it from another screen after a long period of it being idle.

marko, you are right. Every time I return, it force closes. The crash report info:

If you're having this problem, could you test the updated version here and let us know if it solves the problem:

Thanks.

So far so good. No crashes yet! :D
-
Installed. Will let you know this evening how it behaves.
-
Seems to be behaving itself now. That's it returned from two lengthy periods of idleness without a force close. The playing now list got wiped out each time, but that's maybe for another thread.
The force closing issue would appear to have been fixed. Thanks for the attention.

Agreed. Forced closes have disappeared for me as well with 17.0.82
