Title: Get movie info, Duration
Post by: gingellr on February 02, 2012, 03:02:20 pm
When i "get movie info" on my iso files it brings back all the moive data, cover art etc, except the Duration which is always unkonwn so MC just displays it as 0 minutes on all the files.
As a comaprison mediabrowser brings back the duration correctly on the same files.

Is this a bug or do i need to set something up in MC?

thanks

Do you have Media Sub type set as Movie before you try to get the meta data? I believe with iso MC can't tell if it is a Movie or Data disk without some help.

Could it be because MC reads duration from a video file's tags, and is unable to do so from ISOs? Might be a feature request for the future - to use duration from TMDB for filetypes that MC cannot get the info from directly.

Is there any chance that MC will add the facility to get the Movie time from TMDB for an iso?

thanks

Getting Duration from TMDB would certainly be a quick solution for image file videos. I don't understand why people still use it, but that is another matter ;)
