Title: Bright Sound

Running M2Tech EVO  http://www.m2tech.biz/evo.html (http://www.m2tech.biz/evo.html)
and have overly bright sound like pre-emphasis.
WASAPI Event to coxial S/PDIF to Harmon Kardon receiver
I can turn down in EQ but was wondering if anyone else has this ?
or settings in Parametric Equalizer
Same in foobar
Same with kernal streaming/wasapi

Is there any info or manual on how to actually use/set the settings for audio in all this  ?
Minor stuff like low-pass high-pass filters etc
