Title: Bug: Tag On Import and Media Sub Type
Post by: syndromeofadown on February 09, 2012, 11:45:53 pm
I posted this under one of the last few builds but here is some more info.

I tested this on ifo's that i want to set media sub type to TV Show.
Tag on import only works for Media Sub Type on the initial import.
If the ifo's are removed and re-imported the media sub type is movie.

Tested on 3 pcs with 100 ifo's all come up 'movie' after RE-imported.
The only thing in the import options is Media sub type=TV Show
All avi's, mpg, mkv, etc, import fine with TV Show as media subtype.

Just did a re-import on an ifo that i wanted to be 'Music Video' and it came up 'Movie' as well.
Again, the initial import was 'Music Video' and the re-import was Movie.

You're right.  That's the way it works.  To retrigger Tag On Import you have to do three steps before reimporting:

1. Delete any JRSidecar.xml document on disk.
2. Remove the file from the library.
3. Remove them from the deleted items database (search ~d=r in a view filter or smartlist).

Thanks Glynor, I found my problem.

I don't use sidecars and I have a smartlist for removed files.
The problem was that my smartlist was set to show audio only for some reason.

I just removed some videos(correctly) and they re-imported with correct tags.

This has been bothering me for a couple weeks but now all is good.

Thanks again
