I use MC as music alarm - it starts in the morning from scheduler as a task with "Wake computer ..." option checked and wakes computer from a S3 sleep. Sometimes I miss the music because MC hangs with standard "Program stopped working". This is unacceptable for me. Here is what debugger shows:
Unhandled exception at 0x774f15de in Media Center 17.exe: 0x00000000: The operation completed successfully.
Will be glad to give any additional info if needed to solve this.

Are you using Windows task scheduler or the MC scheduler?
-
Windows.
Not sure if MC's allows to wake up a computer.
-
What build of MC are you using? A similar problem was recently fixed. 17.0.85 is at the top of the MC17 board.
The problem is a Windows issue that we found a way around.

I'm using 17.0.85

I have a batch file that I used to run for an alarm with Windows Task Scheduler and MC. When I get a chance I will test it to see if I get the same error.
Is there anything specific going on when the error occurs or is it random. (MC open/closed, some other program active, etc.)
I am running Win7 64bit Premium. What version are you using?
Edit:
Here is the batch as a post if you wish to try it, I forgot it was here on the forum.
