I thought I was only supposed to hear Snap, Crackle, Pop when eating a breakfast cereal or when listening to vinyl?! Well, I am sitting here with .270 installed and I am hearing this on my MP3s that I know do not have problems.

Did you try to have a cereal breakfast listening to vinyl?
-
What sound card?
Playback set to DirectSound or Wave out in MJ?
-
SoundCard = Creative Labs SB Live!
I have tried both settings and both seems to be exactly the same!!

Try reinstalling the sound card driver. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've heard this problem with this card, but it hasn't always been the same card.
In Windows, mute the other devices (microphone especially).

Looks like this problem may be associated with the Creative cards. Check the new thread on this.

Creative cards and VIA motherboards have a tough time getting along. Look at the PCI latency setting in your BIOS -- it may fix your woes.
Take care,
