I got my new htpc hardware up and running a few days ago. JRiver runs smoothly, and I started by recovering the old database. But all image thumbnails in standard view are gone, and I am not able to have them regenerated. I am 95% sure all paths and access rights are ok. Anyone have a clue on how this can be done?
The images are available, and open as expected when double clicked. It is just the thumbs that are gone missing.

Whenever a Library Restore is performed MC needs to rebuild all thumbnails.
Yes it can be a nuisance with a large library, but if done overnight it is relatively painless.

Ok, so do I need to start the rebuild process somewhere, or can I just start MC and leave it to it?

It should rebuild automatically, but take a look at Tools > Options >Tree & View > Thumbnails for manual options.

That is what I have experienced earlier. But now, I can browse all I want with nothing happening. Rebuilding thumds did not give any visible response.
EDIT: I added some video coverart today, and these images have got thumbs in image view.

Startet MC as admin, erased all thumbs, and then everything regenerated nicely. Thanks for the tip on Tools-Tree and View. I wouldn't have found it myself :)
