Title: Can I check my media library for duplicates?
Post by: spitzerone on February 20, 2012, 09:38:44 am
In some of the earlier versions of Media Center (I have had all versions since version 8) I had the capability of asking Media Center to help me eliminate duplicate files. This was very useful to me because I have a huge media library. Is this capability available in MC 17 and I just can't find it? The capability was under playlists. Is there a way to check my media library for duplicates? Thanx Gary

- Duplicates: Create a smartlist and define the criteria you want to use to define a duplicate (e.g. track name, artist, album, duration).  See: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=59849.0

- Clone the library, open the cloned copy, and delete the libraries contents.  This should save your views.
