Hi,
I am a long time MC user having difficulties currently with MC17 repeatedly crashing within a few seconds of opening on my 64-bit Windows 7 laptop.
Problem signature is as follows:

That's sort of a generic message. Turn on Logging in MC (under Help tab) try to capture crash in log. Also check the Windows Event Viewer, see what issues are caputered there.
Are you running Microsoft Security Essentials by any chance?
Did Windows due an automatic update prior to the problem?

The OGG crash has been fixed. Please update to the latest from the top of this board.
