Title: Brazilian HDTV Frequencies
Post by: elderavelas on February 25, 2012, 09:32:59 am
Hi!

The Brazilian digital television system is ISDB-TB. It is a variation of the Japanese system. There is no ISDB option in MC but I was able to tune the Brazilian digital TV channels using a PixelViel PlayTV USB Hybrid Tuner (Conexant Polaris BDA Tuner (digital) chipset).
I included the Brazilian HDTV frequencies in the "DVB Frequencies.xml" file.
I chose DVB-T type channel scanning. Each audio and video stream appears in the list as a different channel, not as options of a channel.

There are some problems while changing channels and sometimes MC locks up but it works.
I didn't try the recording and time shifting functions, yet

I'd like to send you the XML file I created so you can include the Brazilian channels information in the MC official file in the next versions. How can I do it?

Thanks and regards,

Elder

Hi Jim,

I've just e-mailed the xml file to the address you indicated.

Will you intend to add ISDB-T (Japan) and ISDB-TB (Brazil) support to MC?
It looks like the DVB-T support is not the ideal for those systems, despite it somehow works.

Thanks and regards,

Elder
