Hello
I just configured my Media center (latest version) for the use of WebGizmo together with my Ipod Touch. The feature is great but there seems to be a problem with the album cover display. I have about 250 albums in my library and the first 20 - 30 album covers are displayed properly on the ipod. But the more I scroll down the list the more pictures are assigned to a wrong album.
My configuration:
Cover Art: Audio Mode: in same folder as the files
For most of the albums the cover is embedded in the file and additionally in the folder as folder.jpg
Within Media Center all covers a displayed properly

I am using the latest build of MC 17.0.95 and have just installed WebRemote on an iPhone 4S. It works perfectly but I have exactly the same problem with artwork.

Are you both using ios5? I can't reproduce this on our iTouch ios3 or in OSX Safari...

Bob, this definitely happens on iOS5. It happens on my iPhone and iPad, both iOS5.

This is an outstanding issue that was reported by NickF and I back when the WebGizmo feature was first introduced. See http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=68615.100 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=68615.100). It may have gotten lost in the plethora of threads under that topic.
Again, I'm not sure how important this is, but I'm still having the problems you describe and the error messages reported by Safari are still occurring as of 17.0.95. I'm using principally an iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1 to access the WebGizmo feature.

I've seen this problem on a friend's Touch as well...

Bob,
Did you upgrade your iTouch to iOS5 and were you able to reproduce this problem?
Nick.

Apple have just released iOS5.1 and included a new browser - not sure why as it still includes Safari.
This cover art problem still occurs on both browsers. I am running 17.0.105.
We also have the problem of only single audio tracks playing on iOS devices.

Can't upgrade to ios 5, it's too old.

Nick and others,
Are you able to get WebGizmo to "Play All" of anything? Besides the art is all working well? If so, is there anything special you are doing on either end?
Thanks!

It won't play all for albums or playlists. I haven't tried it for video.

So I got the IOS 5 phone and can duplicate the problem.
The interesting thing is, when I was testing it I was running side by side with an android phone and I got similar results! It dawned on me that the reason why I hadn't seen that before is that I have switched to Opera Mobile on the android. So I went into the android browser and it worked fine.
This says to me that the problem isn't IOS 5, it's a specific browser trait. It seems to get triggered when I'm scrolling while receiving the artwork.

Fixed in versions >=17.0.114.
It was a problem with our handling of http pipelining. Only safari on iOS 5 and Opera enable that by default so that's why we couldn't reproduce it on a desktop browser.
-
Bob,
Is this going to fix the issue with only one song playing in WebGizmo?
Thanks!

Excellent news. I have just confirmed that it is now fine on WebGizmo, WebRemote and on my iPad remote. Well done Bob. Thanks.

The fix for multiple items isn't in the build yet however since it will affect scenarios besides iOS 5 it needs a more general strategy overview...
