Title: Media Server abnormal behavior
Post by: vicini on February 29, 2012, 05:12:51 am
I think i discovered a bug since upgrading to MC17 with Media Server
all machines are current (latest) build to date

Connecting to Media Server locally (locally), i am able to modify playlists and recently played stats gets sync backed to Media Server just fine (using Access Key or connecting to my ip gets same results)
Connecting to Media Server using the internet (offsite - wan connection) , nothing gets sync backed to Media Server (using Access Key or connecting to my ip gets same results)
Authentication is enabled
This is using the same laptop computer

However, if i use a DLNA Player (Not MC) offsite, recently played stats DO get synced back to Media Server

So, it appears MC isn't syncing back changes to Media Server when using a Wan connection.

This worked with MC16 just fine. But it looks like something is broken in MC17. Can someone have a look at this?

Thanks - Scott

One other thing thats odd i should have mentioned

local connection has user and password saved so i can connect using the saved info.
connecting offsite, it asked for user and password.

Update,

if i force an update (sync changes with library server), play stats do get updated.

I haven't seen this, but I can test it from work.  I'm too lazy to connect my computer to my external network from here.

If you don't see an answer in a day or two from me, bump this thread.
