Title: Renaming .ASS/.SSA sidecar files [SOLVED!]

Hello,

In:

The builds 51-59
17.0.59 (12/21/2011)

2. Changed: Using Rename, Move, & Copy for a video file will also move sidecar edl, srt, smi, idx, sub.

This was crazy FANTASTIC for me as I've wanted that feature for at least a year plus and J River always seems to add functions that I wanted but was too lazy to request for.

Can you also include .ASS and .SSA (or better yet, let me define what is a subtitle sidecar?) into it?
I have quite a number of those subtitle files which would be broken because I went mad and started renaming videos big time not knowing whether they were STR or ASS files.

I have never seen SSA/ASS as a sidecar.

Could you send a couple examples to matt at jriver dot com?

Coming next build:
NEW: Added support for sidecar .SSA/.ASS subtitles (feedback welcome).

Since I only have your one sample to test with, it might need tuning.  Please provide samples if there are subtitles that don't work as expected.

while you are there, can you also add support for moving a subdirectory one level below any changed directory name that is named sub, subtiles or maybe has the letters "sub" in it? any associated subitle/sidecar files within this same directory should also get renamed along with the move.  (forgive me if this is possible and I haven't noticed)

Hi Matt,

Thanks for adding ASS/SSA support for renaming!
They have been good with 500 renames so far.

I have noticed that a side benefit is that files which use them now actually recognise them as subtitles as well and play them too so I guess you enabled SSA/ASS as a systemwide subtitle sidecar.
(I used to have to use MPCHT for SSA sidecar subs since MC didn't even see them as a subtitle.)
