Title: Problem with overlapping subtitles
Post by: Moe on March 12, 2012, 08:07:05 pm
Using MC 17.0.103
File is mkv
Subtiles are .ass
Video mode: Red October HQ

I am having a problem with my subtitles overlapping.  It happens when two people on the screen are talking at the same time. I've taken two screenshots to show what they should look like (using VLC) and how they are appearing for me in MC.

Screenshot 1: VLC

Screenshot 2: MC

I've also uploaded a small sample video that is showing the problem.  It's a minute long video with two examples of this happening.  The first example happens around :15 and the second example happens around :55

You can download the sample video here. (http://moesrealm.com/mc/sample.zip)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the sample.

In a coming build:
Fixed: In some cases, text based subtitles could appear with multiple subtitles on top of one another.

Hi Moe,

Thanks for doing what I was just about to do myself. :)

I use J River as a default video player now until I run against the wall with mult subtitles like your screenshot.
They are just short of colours and video interpolation before I have no need for any other video player anymore.

Looking forward to the next build...
