Title: Gap vs Gapless
Post by: sKiZo on March 25, 2012, 07:36:45 pm

I had MC set up for a two second gap by default ... I like a bit of airspace between tracks on a playlist to give me time to shift gears. Problem being ... some albums are made to be gapless . Was just listening to Marillion "Misplaced Childhood" and the dead spaces between tracks really blow out the mood ...

Yes, I can turn off the gap, but it'd be nice to be able to just change the setting for the tracks or albums that need it and be done with it. A tag that has a universal entry (in my case "2") might seem senseless - until the first time you set one to "0" manually to correct the problem on albums that suffer from the universal setting. Maybe just a checkbox? Not sure what yet another tag would do for database bloat.

Maybe I can build a custom tag to do the job, but haven't a clue on the code required.

Hint hint ... nudge nudge ... know what I mean? <G>

Did you tried with the option "use gapless for sequential album tracks" ?
