Popcorn Hour A300 (a new model) recognizes the MC server and displays playlist groups (and playlist groups within playlist groups) but does not display any media when an actual playlist is selected. After a wait of about a minute a "An error has occurred" message box pops up.
The problem affects all versions of MC (15, 16, 17).
My old A200 model works without any problems.
In an attempt to see if it was the PH unit itself, I tried Wild Media Server and Nero Media Home 4 - both of which worked perfectly fine.
My usual setup is to have DLNA but no other advanced features selected and to Never Convert video, audio or images (this is what works with the A200). I have tried every possible advanced option but nothing seems to resolve the problem.
-
Does it work when you browse Audio/Images/Video instead of browsing to a playlist?
-
No. I should have mentioned that as well.
-
Start by turning on just DLNAExtra (and DLNA) in the Advanced options.
Set the images to convert to 640x480.
Try and access the images from your PH.
Does it work?
What build of 17 are you using?
-
Attempted the DLNA+DLNAextra with 640x480 jpeg conversion, but MC16, MC17.0.33, MC17.0.106 and MC17.0.110 all failed to yield results (i.e., the same error occurred as before).
FYI, Please note that the popcorn hour devices are not DLNA compliant - just UPnP.

Ok, I suppose you could try with everything in Advanced turned off except for file logging. If it still doesn't work a wireshark dump may be useful.
-
No luck. Log and wireshark files attached.
-
Is that wireshark log a pcap file?
-
Sorry, I failed to take note. I just installed it this morning - so whatever the default is. Is pcag your preferred format (I understand it will do pcap-ng as well)?

I normally use pcap. When I get a chance to dig into it I'll let you know. Thanks!

Hi Bob. Have you had a chance to look at this yet?

The wireshark files (pcap?) aren't readable on either my windows or osx wireshark clients.
Perhaps you need to zip them before attaching?
Or just send them to me bob (at) jriver (dot) com.
Thanks...

Sent via email. Let me know if that does the trick.

Got em, thanks... It'll be Thursday before I can get to them...

How goes the battle?

Did you get my email from the 26th? Here's what was in it...

Would you do another with the capture option set to just:
host 192.168.0.10 and host 192.168.0.13
Also, please just navigate into Audio->Album
and pick an album to try and play. There are too many levels in your playlist browse for me to easily follow.

The wiki details the capture setup: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Sharing_Plug-in_Debugging_Hints (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Sharing_Plug-in_Debugging_Hints)
Could you try using the current build as well? There are some changes in there that may alter what you are seeing.
Also, I've got an A200 in storage that I'm going to fire up and see what that gives me...
Thanks

The A200 works fine (even after the firmware update).
