Hi,
I have a very strange problem.
Having used JRiver Media Center v16 I set up the DKLNA server to work with OPPO -83 as a client.
It works for Music files, video and photos.
After some months of no using the network I upgrade my windows XP do WIN 7 JRiver to version 17 and of course I upgraded the firmware of OPPO-83.
I configured DLNA server with JRiver and it doesn't work. The server itself is visible from OPPO player but when I start searching for media it shows nothing – no Views like Albums, genres or so on.
As always I started with the network and also I downloaded another DLNA Server Serviio.
Serviio works well. It serves the schemas and files and ffinally i can play aoudio see films.
However JRiver is a great software and I have here all ~9500 audio files well sorted. Also I miss the possibility play audio with my playlist.
So can someone help me what is wrong.
I have prepared the pcap files with session ( failed ) JRiver-OPPO and successful session Serviio-OPPO.
I cannot analyse the content by myself.
Any hints.
Regards,
JOIK.

That's a lot of changes. First, make sure you are using the latest version of MC. Second, check to see that DLNAExtra is checked under DLNA server advanced options under tools->options->media network->add or configure dlna servers.
If still doesn't work, send me the pcaps: bob (at) jriver (dot) com.
Try to make sure the one with MC and the Oppo is only between those machines (under capture options) and start capturing just before you turn on the Oppo and stop just after the failure to access.

I sent an email of 31.03.2012 with pcap file and additional information..
While waiting for pcap file analysis I could try to reload JRiver from scratch.
Can someone give me a hint how to remove thoroughly JRiver Media, delete all directories , files. dlls and registry entries. I would like to preserve my library tags I enter for more than 10000 files.
A separate question is regarding the address (239.255.255.250 ) JRiver Media service connects after the DLNA client request:

I looked through your pcap (thanks) and I think that a fix in build 119 might solve your problem. Can you try a build >= 119 and let me know?

Bob,
I installed JRiver build 17.0.122.
Something has been changed since the Samsung TV now can browse the library :).
As to Oppo the behavior is the same. I can not browse the library >:(.
I tested with DLNA Extra on and off, Use flat URL on and off, Use full URL. No change.
In order to test my network and OPPO compatibility I tested with success Servio, Tversity.
Any ideas.

Could you send me a pcap from version 122? You'd want to put in your MC's IP and the Oppo IP into the capture filter under Capture->Options. It'd look like this
host 1.2.3.4 and host 1.2.3.5
where you replace those two addresses with yours.
Then start MC, start the capture, power cycle the Oppo then do whatever you'd normally do to see the problem. As soon as the problem is visible stop the capture and send me the resulting pcap.
Thanks,
Bob
