Hi there,
I am new to the forum as I only recently discovered JRiver MC - and I am very happy with the software so far. I mainly use the server function, streaming the music to two (old) Terratec Noxon 2 audio (German product) devices which do accept the UPnp protocol.
I wanted to replace those devices with the Squeezebox Touch from Logitec which seems to deliver quite a good sound quality and does accept the Flac format. However, the device comes with its own software and does not straight away accept the JRiver Media Server software.
I already checked the forum for this issue and found some topics related to, mentioning mainly the White Bear (middleware ?) software. Does anybody know if this works easily or does implementation need nights of tinkering with the boxes (I have become tired after years of wasting time - for this reason I am very happy with JRiver) ?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience !

Several users here use the SB/Whitebear/MC solution. Recently implemented was gapless playback support over UPnP, and its been great for us here.
Basic steps (may vary slightly depending upon how you want to setup):
1) install SBS or LMS*, and have it scan your music folder
2) connect your Touch devices to the network (wired/wireless) and test playback
3) install Whitebear on the SBS machine
4) enable Media Network in MC's Options
5) use MC to initiate playback on a given Touch device (SBS' interface can control too)
* its recommended to disable LMS' UPnP plug-in
