MC is moving fast with updates. How could I find out which version I am currently using from the interface?

Go to Help, About. A small window will appear with the version number at the top.
This procedure works for most software, not just MC.

You can also add the version number to the top display.
Right-click the top display > Customize Display...
The version number code is [App Version] .
I have mine set to display the application name, application version, currently loaded library and playback zone when nothing is playing (stopped mode):
Stopped Mode
Title: [App Name] [App Version]
Status: [Library] - [Zone]

Thanks Alex. Didn't know about the ability to make changes there.
Also mine did not show [App Version] as an option in the Customize Display list. But when I typed it in it showed fine.

If you use [87 days 7 hours] it will show the days and hours until the next version will be released. You may need to make occasional re-guesses.

Thanks, AlexB!

[App Version] did not exist before I requested it a couple of years ago. I too had a problem with seeing easily the installed version, especially when installing beta builds on several machines almost every day. Since [App Name] was displayed by default it seemed only natural to have also the version number included. Matt agreed and added it. In my opinion it could be included in the default string, but I don't know if some users would see it as unnecessary clutter.
