Title: any issues with many open tabs?

Using the middle mouse button it is possible to open many tabs. I am considering leaving a dozen or more of my favorite views open at all times.

Does anyone know if there are any negative side effects of having many tabs open? I am thinking of possible issues like performance, memory footprint, startup time, instability, etc.

Updates are deferred for non-visible tabs, but there's still some overhead and resource usage for each tab.

Depending on your machine speed and library size, this may or may not be relevant.
