Title: Video Background Slideshow not working properly
Post by: StuckMojo on April 01, 2012, 02:35:59 pm
I like the new Video Background Slideshow Feature,but...

I have problems with some Movies, for Example:

Movie Name: Resident Evil 3 - Extinction

No Images are found.Renaming it to:

Resident Evil 3 Extinction

Works like it should be.

Is there a way that the "-" could be ignored for Slideshow Search.
Because that's my "Naming Rule" for such movies.
A Search rule would be nice, where special keyboard characters are ignored for search.
Like these :["(.-,;')"]. And perhaps some more.
Would be great!

And if possible integrating the Year Tag for search would aslo be good.
Some of my Movies are showing the wrong Pictures because of the Name.Like:

"Auf der Flucht" with Harrison Ford (German Movie Name).

Background Images are shown from "Paul - Ein Alien auf der Flucht"

I have seen the same with a number of my movies that has local danish titles. I wish that when a TMDb search came up empty, MC would do a look up of the field "Original Title" next. That could solve the issue with titles in local languages, as long as the Original Title field was filled with the title found at TMDb.

You are right, that could solve both problems, too.

If the Original Movie Name Tag is empty,it should search like it is now.
