Title: unsolved windows7 glitchs and sparks
Post by: jacqlan111 on April 06, 2012, 09:56:15 am
This is an annoying problem that I faced the minute I have tried win7 last year.
After a couple of months searching around and finding many other audiophiles sharing the same, I finally went back to win XP.
At that time I wasn't aware of this MC forum.  Yesterday I was forced to go back to win7 because my usual dedicated PC was gone for repair.  The same glitches and sparks are back when I run win explorer or any web pages, finally could be anything else while listening to music.
I don't know if that issue was treated here? No found.
Is that problem occurred to someone over here and have you found the source?
I won't keep this setup too long.  My XP PC is coming back today, but maybe win7 is better for the oncoming upgrades.

Win7 is normally a better choice than XP for audio.

Try the "Getting Started" link in my signature for information on audio setup.   Use WASAPI Event Style if possible.

Also take a look at the "Weird Problems" thread in my signature for other ideas.

Looks like to be solved this time.

That may just "mask" a problem.  Did you try WASAPI  Event Style?  Under Audio settings.

You're right it happened again this afternoon.  I've seen that in several discussion, come and go???

I am using the ASIO driver from the M.Audio card because I need the S/Pdif output.  I'll try to get around this card.

Try WASAPI Event Style if you can.
