I hate to support the capitalist pig here, but how'd you like to work for nothing? Regards the registration key, you could always just back up to a floppy disc (or discs)then the customer support people would be available for when they were really needed (or possibly to give the exessive help requd. to the new!)
I'm not sure about this licence thing though, is it possible to sell the licence on to someone else if you've finished with it (I mean if you the new version or something?)
Regards the frequent upgrades - well you could always just keep using the version your used to until you need or want to change it, there presumably isn't a time limit?
There is one thing about industrialist though, you can bet the reasonable price is only there while they have to charge it! As soon as market forces allow otherwise they will be back to trying to make an exessive profit (though not many are as bad as bill gates admittedly!). Capitalism would be more acceptable if it was about trying to make an honest profit rather than an exessive profit (umm...well I confess I speak as a keen capitalist here...well not really capitalist I dislike that word...I mean you should be able to prosper and make an honest buck for your talent and effort...)

You're nearly a good laugh
Almost a joker
With your head down in the pig bin
Saying 'keep on digging'
-
I did not even understand the other thread on charging for software.
Business = Profit \ Making Money: to feed the wife and kids
Liberal Government = Handout \ Free ride: to rip off the working man
-
Ah Sronch, where's the picture?
and, uh, where's the bread?
-
Oops, sorry.

Disappointlingly simplistic. On the order of "Four legs good, two legs bad."
-
Which inevitably, due to the nature of human animals, becomes......
"Four legs good, two legs better"
-
I don't know, if you like pork, then four legs is better.
-
I read somewhere that pork and human flesh were very very similar, if not identical.
Not sure if that's true, but I haven't been able to eat a pork chop since...
-
Yes it is true.To the point than you can transplant most of the parts of a porc to men.Piece of tissus[meat],heart, and many more
We do not have porc here,so i do not eat it.I do not miss it as meat, but i miss ham, sausages, pate. Not that much, but i would like to have it from time to time

See what you did, Scronch?
I'm closing this now.
