I am using Media Centre 17 and have an AC Ryan Playon HD Mini.
The AC Ryan device appears on my network as "Realtek Embedded UPnP Render"
I can use Windows Media Player to control it but when I try to play to it from Media Centre nothing plays. If I select an album to play Media Centre says it is playing track 0 of X and the time ticks by but nothing happens.
When I use Windows Media Player to play to the AC Ryan box the AC Ryan displays a message saying that it is acting as Renderer and shows the track being played. When I try to play to it from Media Centre nothing happens on the AC Ryan display, so it seems that although Media Centre can see the AC Ryan device on the network it can't actually talk to it.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar or got any ideas on how to get it to work?
Thanks
Richard

What build of MC17 are your using? You should make sure you're close to current.
Under the DLNA server options you could try turning on DLNAExtra under advanced.
If that doesn't change anything, try Disabling SetNext support under DLNA controller options when you right click on the AC Ryan zone in Playing Now.
Please report back your results...

thanks Bob, it's 17.0.99. I'll try your suggestions and let you know how I get on

Well none of that worked. I just get a message saying "There was a problem controlling the selected DLNA device. Double-check your device, server, and network settings".
Any more suggestions gratefully received.
