i have a server running jriver. which is considered my main library. and in my router i've opened up port 52198 and all clients can see that library... works great.
On client machines if we want those clients to show up on other pc's/and on the server under playing now, do those clients/other pc's need to have there own separate ports and also be forwarded in the router?
Thank you.

This one I don’t understand
Normally one has a home network and a router.
The router checks if traffic is between devices inside the home network or between any device on the home network and the Internet.
Only when connection over the Internet is required you open a port on the router.
Inside the home network the router functions as a switch.
No port forwarding needed in this case

You typically don't need to open ports for LAN <--> LAN communication.
If you enable Media Network on all the clients, the zones generally will all appear on the server and all clients.
Otherwise, clients can check:
Tools > Options > Media Network > Client Options > Show playback zones from the server on the client
to see the server's zones.

Sounds more like a feature request. Ane I kind of like the idea. With subsonic I can see what other users are playing. But I would like to being playing from the same playlist.
