Title: How to set the Handheld Conversion Cache "folder rule"
Post by: DoubtingThomas on April 20, 2012, 08:24:36 pm
I used to be able to set the Conversion Cache "folder rule" in earlier versions of MC.

But I can't find where to set it in v17.  Anyone know?

Also... when the cache created a folder for a new album.. it named it using something other that the Artist name and Album name I have set in the tags.

My Tags

Artist:  James, L.A.
Album:  1999 Alligator Stew

but the dir created in the cache dir is

J:\Cache\A.L. James & Spare Change\1999 Alligator Stew\

Where could MC have gotten "A.L. James and Spare Change" from ?

I believe the rule is:

   <File Location: Conversion Cache>\Album Artist(Auto)\Album\

Check your Album Artist and Artist tags.

I've been to File Location > Conversion Cache

there is no place to set the "folder rule" that I can see... all I can set is the cache location, no place to set the folder rule.

The rule is currently built-in as I recall.

Well that's too bad... we used to be able to set this.

I was unable to find "album artist" in the registry to try and change it myself.
