Hi all,
Hope the weekend is going well.
My title says it all really, when selecting an album from the panes view and double clicking or right clicking to play (from any of the panes), the first track is skipped and it plays the album from track 2.
If you press previous track is correctly plays track 1.
Is this a known bug or have a messed something up?
Using the artist or album views does not cause this problem.

A number of folks have seen this over the years.
Check the Disc # for each track. For a single disc album, clear Disc # for all tracks. For multi-disc albums, but sure Disc # is correctly set for each track.
-
Thanks for the tip.
Albums giving problems do not have a Disc # entry. However there are other albums without an entry that do not have problems...
Also, as i mentioned even problem albums do not cause a problem in all views (which is the really curious part)
Any other thoughts?

Ok, one more thought.
Change the sort for the view from Default to, say, Track #, just to test.
-
Can you can reproduce this reliably?
If so, could you mail a library backup to matt at jriver dot com with instructions about what view to test?
Thanks.

I hope this is reproducible. This was a problem both rick.ca and I commented about a couple of years back now.

Sorry, was busy with other things and my lounge is currently up in the air, but I should be able to mail somthing over the weekend.
Two comments now though:
1) Yes the albums that cause problems, always cause problems in panes view, no problem is other defult views.
2) I will check the sorting order or importance, but once all sorting has been done they are indeed showing below the panes in track order, so it is clear that it has jumped track 1. That is how I spotted it happening (ie not by listening to the track, but seeing that that track 2 was playing and that track 1 was above it).
I think even in Now Playing it shows track 1 first. I will therefore also check if the skip count is triggered, but I think not.
