Hi
I would like to convert my flac-files to mp3-files for exporting to a SD-memory. Without converting my flacīs.
The converted mp3-files must be placed in another folder. Or directly to the SD-memory is fine too.
But my original flacīs must be unconverted.
How is the best way to to this? Any tip about that. please?

Easiest way to do this is by selecting the files you want to convert and select Tools > Library Tools > Covert Format...
Select Options and set the encoder you want and also to set the destination. Also remember to select if you want MC to add the files to the library or ignore the files created. DO NOT SELECT Replace original file on disk and in library.
You will also want to set the number to convert at the same time to the number of cores you have or less if you plan on using your computer while converting.

Test a few files before you do a lot.

Hi 221bbs
Thank you very much! Sounds not so difficult if not select replace original file on disk:-)
I will try this way. And yes, you are right, better try a few file first time.

Hi 221bbs
I just want to give you some feedback on tip tip you gave me.
It took some time because I had to add a lot of music in JRiver and also sort out all the songs I want
in the SD-memory and place them in a playlist.
Everything workes fine! My computer is right now working converting the files to mp3, 256 kb.
And storing them in a special folder for that. When it is finished (it will take a couple of hours more)
I just copy the files to the SD-memory.
So, thanks again!
Best Regards

you also have the handheld option.. :P

One of the downsides to Convert is that external cover art will not be included.
W/HH conversion, it can be included. In the past month, HH conversion has become more stable and reliable.

I see, I have to look into that next time. I have a plane to catch now:-)
Thanks.
